Our guest artists will also be joined by some of our clinicians in an all-star combo performance and the Arizona State University Concert Jazz Band led by Michael Kocour. In addition the High School Jazz Band that receives the Judge’s Most Outstanding Award from Friday and Saturday’s clinic/performances, will open Saturday’s concert!
Our clinicians include:
- Clipper Anderson – Professor of Jazz Bass Studies at Pacific Lutheran University
- Lance Boyd - Low Brass Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at University of Montana
- Ken Edwards - Assistant Director of Jazz Studies and Trumpet at UT Arlington
- Tim Ishii - Director of Jazz Studies and Saxophone at UT Arlington
- Don Owens - Retired Northwestern University Director of Jazz Studies

Featured Guest Artist Concerts:
- Friday Night - Jeff Coffin Mu'tet.
- Saturday Night - Bobby Shew, ASU’s Concert Jazz Band, and the Judge’s Outstanding Jazz Band recipient will open the concert.
Jazz Clinics:

Festival Performance Setup:
- Check-in at the lobby of the auditorium.
- You will warm-up in an ensemble room one half hour before your scheduled performance.
- You will have thirty minutes to perform in the auditorium which includes your ensemble setup and tear down time.
- Following your performance, you will be provided a clinic from either Don Owens or Peter Sommer
