Concert Bands

Wind Ensemble is the top instrumental ensemble and studies and performs standard and contemporary wind ensemble literature; this band meets in the Fall and Spring semesters. Participants in Wind Ensemble require teacher approval and audition.

Concert Dress Uniform Fee: $25-$75

• Girls:

  • All Black Uniform Dress Purchased Through School Organization - $75.00

  • Black Slip

  • Black Control-Top Nylons

  • Black Dress Shoes

• Boys:

  • White Tux Shirt

  • Black Socks

  • Black Dress Shoes

  • Tuxedo Jacket, Pants, Black Cummerbund, & Bow Tie will be fitted and checked out at the beginning of the concert season. Tuxedo Fee is $25.

Estimated Spring Tour Fee: $500-600

Symphonic Band studies and performs standard and contemporary wind ensemble literature; this band meets in the Fall and Spring semesters. Participants in Symphonic Band require teacher approval and audition.

Concert Band II studies and performs standard concert band literature; this band meets in the Fall and Spring semesters. Participants in Concert II require satisfactory participation in junior high band, Concert Band I, or teacher approval.

Concert Dress:

• Girls - One of the following:

  • Black Slacks, Socks & Dress Shoes with HHS Band Polo.

  • All Black Skirt & Black Dress Shoes with HHS Band Polo. (Black Nylons required.)

  • No Flip Flops or Tennis/Running/Casual Shoes of any kind.

  • No Large or Obnoxious jewelry.

  • Sandals must be dressy and black.

• Boys:

  • Black Slacks, Socks & Dress Shoes with HHS Band Polo

  • Black Belt.

  • No Tennis/Running/Casual Shoes or Flip Flops.

Concert Band I is a freshman band that studies and performs standard concert band literature; this band meets in the Fall and Spring semesters. Participants in Concert I require teacher approval or satisfactory participation in junior high band.

Concert Dress:

• Girls - One of the following:

  • Black Slacks, Socks & Dress Shoes with HHS Band Polo.
